Art Jameel x Hafez Gallery

Art Jameel is showcasing the works of alumni of the Jameel House of Traditional Arts in Jeddah at the fourth MNWR exhibition at Madina Arts Center, in collaboration with Hafez Gallery. It is the first group show of Jameel House alumni outside Jeddah, and displays works from the 2019 Jameel House annual exhibition. The exhibition is on view until November 20.

Fourteen artists and designers are exhibiting works that draw together Jeddah’s rich history of craft, material use, and artisanal excellence, and reflect the cosmopolitan nature of the city and its place in the Islamic World.

Artists include Ammar Asif Jiman, Angham Abdulaziz Munshi, Asma Saud Alarifi, Dalia Alireza, Doaa Anas Mousa, Fathima Chinoy Arshad, Kholod Abdul-Karim Sinjab, Malak Omar Masallati, Nour Abdullah Gary, Nuha Abdullah Alamoudi, Omniah Farouk Jamjom, Rana Fahd Alsoliman, Rana Mohammed Omer Tashkandi and Sarah Abdulrahman Aljehani.

The Jameel House of Traditional Arts in Jeddah, a centre for artisanship, architectural discourse and heritage preservation, is established by Art Jameel in Jeddah historic district in 2015, in collaboration with the Saudi Arabian Society for Culture and the Arts. The one-year programme is designed and delivered by the Prince’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts.
