Join Ammar Jiman in using a traditional technique to make decorative paper from recycled waste. In this workshop, transform scraps of card and waste paper into rich, handmade paper, perfect for writing or making cards.

Materials:
Flour sieve
Blender
Sponge
Towels (to absorb excess moisture)
Heavy books (to weigh down the frame to the base)
Scrap paper
Wooden boards
Large container filled with water
Plastic bag
Scissors
Masking tape

About Ammar Jiman
Ammar Jiman is an artist, architect and educator. Born in Jeddah and raised in Manchester, he graduated from King Abdulaziz University with a degree in Architecture. Ammar is a graduate of the one-year programme at the Jameel House of Traditional Arts in Jeddah, and works as a teaching assistant with the Prince’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts programme in AlUla.
