Painting the Flower of Life with coffee with Rana AlAmoudi

In this workshop, Rana AlAmoudi takes you on a journey into the geometry of the Flower of Life pattern. Using tea and coffee to paint, this is an ideal home-based activity for making beautiful cards.

Suitable for beginners, kids and parents, teens and adults
**Little hands might need their parents’ help doing this activity

Materials:
Paper (ideally watercolour paper)
30cm ruler
Compass
Scissors
Pencil
Envelope (optional)
Paintbrush
Coffee
1 or 2 teabags
Teaspoon
Sponge
Cup of warm water
Tray
2 small plates
Bowl for tea

About Rana Abdullah AlAmoudi
Rana Abdullah AlAmoudi is an alumna of the Jameel House of Traditional Arts in Jeddah, graduating in 2016 from the inaugural one-year programme. Rana’s practice focuses on the geometry displayed on buildings in Al-Balad, Jeddah’s historic district, which she applies in a range of media. Rana teaches geometry, gypsum and ceramics at the Jameel House in Jeddah.
